Homeopathic detox Therapy FAQ’s
What is Homeopathic detox Therapy?
HDT is an individualised approach to identifying and removing potential obstacles to cure whilst supporting the whole system and enabling a gentle but effective clearing of toxins which may improve general health as well as specific health issues.
Where did it originate?
The HDT approach was originally devised by Dutch MD and Homeopath, Tinus Smits, in order to help support children and adults on the Autism spectrum – many of whom had been found to have high levels of metal poisoning and metabolic issues – and he achieved considerable success using it. However since the approach is constantly evolving, as results are collated, its use has been extended to help a wide variety of other long term, chronic dis-ease states and is used in a variety of countries across the world.
Is HDT the same as Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is an intregal part of HDT but two other elements are used as well and it can only be called HDT when all three of these elements are used. These core components work collaboratively, but are selected on an individual basis according to each Client’s needs.
The core components are:-
1. A selection of basic supplements or ‘Orthomolecular supports’ chosen on an individual basis depending on the specific needs of each person.
2. Heavily diluted Isopathic remedies made from the exact substance identified as being toxic to each individual Client and given in a particular, structured manner.
3. A once weekly, usually Saturday, Homeopathic remedy chosen to support the individual throughout the process.A wide variety of inexpensive support methods are also recommended in order to minimise any ‘de-tox’ reactions and enable it to be as gentle and non-invasive as possible. Every person embarking on the process will be provided with a comprehensive list of possible methods and products and reputable suppliers.
Who can HDT therapy help?
HDT has been used successfully worldwide to support, predominantly children, but latterly more and more adults with issues such as Autism, ADD, ADHD, Sensory Issues, and almost any Chronic Dis-ease that has not responded to other treatments. It is not advisable during pregnancy or for infants.
How will I know whether HDT is suitable for my child?
HDT is not always needed, alot of the time a more straightforward Homeopathic prescription is sufficient , and it is up to each HDT practitioner to decide whether it is suitable. People would need to have failed to respond to previous Homeopathic treatment or stopped responding, despite well prescribed remedies, indicating a block or obstacle to cure. These obstacles can take many forms eg pharmaceutical drugs, vaccines, toxic chemicals, heavy metals, synthetic food ingredients, bacteria, dental toxins, fungi, electro- magnetic pollution and many more. There are so many potential toxins in our modern world that some people simply cannot process it all, and their health takes a significant nosedive. Whilst this toxin remains unprocessed in the body it effectively takes up all the person’s energy and once it’s removed often this energy can be released and all body systems start working more effectively. Most of the time the damage has been caused by an accumulation of toxins rather than just one, but that does not mean that every possible toxic substance has to be addressed. As an HDT therapist I have been trained what to look for and how to identify the particular straw or straws that have ‘broken the camel’s back’.
How long does the Therapy take?
The HDT process can be a lengthy one since it is imperative that the pace is set by each individual child or adult, eg Children with a chronic – (or long term) – disability are often in a highly sensitive and vunereable state and cannot comfortably process anything except at a very slow rate. It is very important that every stage of the process is allowed to completely finish before moving on to the next step. In order to minimise aggravations orthomolecular supports and remedies are introduced one at a time and may only given on certain days of the week. Sometimes a person may continue to react for weeks or months on a particular stage and sometimes it’s a shorter time. Some stages instigate a great deal of processing and can be tiring so I always advocate a break of some weeks before moving on. It also depends on the nature of the dis-ease being addressed, it is seldom a quick process but you will notice changes and improvements throughout. It requires a high degree of commitment to the process and I will spend time with you initially to ensure that you are fully aware of what’s involved right from the start.
My son was diagnosed with Autism in 2014. He had no eye contact, was clumsy, had weak muscles, digestive problems, bowel issues, delayed speech and language and extreme anxiety and hyper-sensitivity. Thanks to working with Rebecca , he now has friends, good eye contact, sleeps in his own room, eats better and can cycle! He is able to be more independent and be with other people, not just me and has no more hyper-sensitivity.
